“Born to Shine Summer Camp 2025” was held on July 28 – August 1st, 2025, hosted by CRRS and Vancouver Urban Ministries at Chinatown Peace Church. This year, 48 amazing kids joined the adventure! Through fun games, creative activities, and the incredible care of our volunteer Camp leaders, they truly experienced what it means to shine and be loved. We had outings to the park and a special field trip to the Chinese Canadian museum. We gifted the children an orange hat and a “Born to Shine” pin to remind them how special they are.
We’re especially proud that our camp may be the only completely free, lunch-included summer program for kids right here in Vancouver’s Chinatown—making fun and community accessible to all!
